• Use the following Cisco IOS software commands to determine if the design meets performance, scalability, and stability goals:

 
•  Check for errors with show interface commands.
•  Check broadcast rates per interface with show interface commands.
•  Check for dropped packets with show interface commands.
•  Check router CPU usage with the show processes command.
•  Check router buffer usage with the show buffers command.
•  Check response times with the ping command.
•  Check for correct routing with the trace and show [protocol] route commands.
